Bruce Matulich

Chairman

Bruce Matulich has been the Chief Executive Officer at the Electric & Gas Industries Association (EGIA) a 501 (c)(6) non-profit trade association, since joining the company in 2023. As CEO, he manages day-to-day operations, represents the Association in key state and national industry forums and regulatory proceedings, and provides oversight of EGIA strategic growth initiatives.

Bruce brings over 40 years of experience in leadership positions within the utility, energy services and home services industries and has been active in developing, managing, and implementing some of the most extensive energy efficiency, water efficiency and demand response programs in the country. In addition to EGIA’s energy efficiency program administration leadership, Bruce has been instrumental in transforming EGIA into a leading contractor and distributor education and training organization by founding EGIA Contractor University and HVAC Distributor University and guides EGIA’s industry leading financing solutions that have facilitated over $9 billion in residential, multi-family and business energy efficiency upgrades.

Bruce also serves as Chairman of the Board of Trustees for the EGIA Foundation, a 501(c)(3) non-profit public charitable organization leading the workforce development activities focused on developing the next generation of skilled trade employees.

Bruce holds Bachelor of Science degrees in Business Administration/Marketing and Industrial Technology from San Jose State University. 

Arturo Huerta

Chief Financial Officer

Arturo Huerta, is EGIA’s Chief Financial Officer and is responsible for directing all of EGIA’s financial and accounting policies and strategy to ensure long-term organizational success and sustainability. Arturo is an accomplished finance professional with over 20 years of experience working within the construction & engineering, media & advertising, and manufacturing industries. At EGIA, Arturo is responsible for the preparation of all financial statements and regulatory filings, including final budgets, internal controls, and management of liquidity and investments.

Prior to joining EGIA, Arturo demonstrated significant experience with fast-growing and multi-national organizations as he was a Sr. Manager with Deloitte’s assurance & advisory group and the Director of Internal Audit for the McClatchy Company, previously one of the largest publicly traded, publishing and advertising organizations in the US. Most recently, he was the CFO and Director of Human Resources of a perimeter security construction firm based in Northern California.

Arturo graduated from California State University, Fresno with a degree in business administration and holds an active CPA license in California.

Eddie Javaid

Chief Technology Officer

Eddie is EGIA’s CTO, and is responsible for the overall management of EGIAs Information Technology. Eddie has over 25 years of experience as a senior level information technology leader. He has led a number of major technology development programs for various fast paced Global Fortune 500 companies such as Oracle, Sony, and General Electric. Eddie has extensive experience creating Global Enterprise Applications, Oracle ERP, SAAS cloud based applications and building high availability systems. Prior to joining EGIA, Eddie held a Senior IT Management position at Sony PlayStation. Eddie is a graduate of the University of London (England) with a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical & Electronic Engineering and a Master of Science degree in Information Systems from the University of Brighton (England).

Jeff Matulich

Vice President, Marketing & Member Services

As the Vice President of Marketing & Member Services, Jeff spearheads the strategy and directs the execution of EGIA’s overall member experience, external communications and membership growth initiatives.

Jeff leads the team responsible for identifying, planning and implementing EGIA’s various member benefit offerings including Contractor University training programs, Contractor Marketplace product and service discounts, Snapshot Survey industry wide research reports and more. He oversees the EGIA marketing department, as well as the teams responsible for events, membership sales, membership partnerships and member account management. He is the point-person tasked with building and maintaining EGIA as the largest and most successful contractor membership group in North America.

Prior to joining EGIA in 2007, Jeff worked at Liquid Agency, one of Silicon Valley’s leading brand marketing agencies, where he managed high-level marketing and branding initiatives for clients such as Intel, Logitech, LSI, Adidas and Visa. Jeff graduated from the University of Oregon with a degree in Business Administration.

Matthew Bratsis

Vice President, Contractor Services

As Vice President of Contractor Services, Matthew is responsible for all lending and finance operations within EGIA. As the founder and creator of OPTIMUS, Matthew used his 30+ years of experience in the industry, understanding of the contractor process and non-stop creativity to streamline and simplify payment solutions for virtually every contractor. Working directly with lending and affiliate partners, Matthew and his team strive to develop cutting edge payment and promotional offerings for EGIA’s vast contractor base. In addition, Matthew leads EGIA’s business development strategy, as well as the design and implementation of finance training content.

After attending Virginia Commonwealth University, majoring in Psychology, Matthew started his journey in finance and customer experience in 1995. He began at American General Finance, followed by stops at Equity Lending, Greensky and Renovate America.

Eric Hatton

Vice President, Utility & Government Services

As Vice President, Utility & Government Services, Eric is instrumental in guiding the strategic direction, growth and profitability of EGIA’s business with utility and government clients located throughout North America. His focus is on building relationships with clients and partners to successfully deliver client’s energy and water savings goals through EGIA’s suite of technology and program solutions.

Prior to joining EGIA, Eric spent over 12 years in senior leadership positions at Franklin Energy where he was responsible for the design and implementation of Demand Side Management programs for utility clients. During this time Eric led teams to achieve aggressive energy efficiency and demand response savings goals by maximizing the resources of personnel, technology, process and incentives to exceed client expectations. Eric has partnered with clients to deliver successful programs serving residential, multi-family, small business, commercial and industrial customers.

Additionally, Eric has served in variety of business development and operations leadership roles for companies including Schneider Electric, ABB and Emerson where he worked with a variety of contractors and customers to deliver critical power and distributed generation services. Eric graduated from Franklin University with a degree in Business Management and Marketing.

David Holt

Director, Education & Coaching

As Director of Education and Coaching, David is the strategic lead for the planning, management and coordination of Contractor University’s and HVAC Distributor University’s overall training content and coaching services, as well as the development and maintenance of the educational resources and implementation tools needed to support both platforms.

Before joining EGIA, David spent nearly four decades serving the HVAC industry. He started out by sweeping floors and running parts at his grandfather’s HVAC business. After graduating from college, he founded a software company that developed one of the industry’s first DOS-based service management and dispatching programs. David also served as president of the family HVAC business and was elected to ACCA’s national board of directors. After the family business was sold in 1999, David transitioned to a career in HVAC training, coaching, and consulting, holding various roles with Comfort Institute, Profit Strategies, National Comfort Institute, and SilverBullet Price Page.

David graduated from the University of Georgia with a degree in Business Management, majoring in Management Information Systems.

Danny Rentschler

Creative & Innovation Director

Danny is an award-winning Creative Director with a proven track record for translating complex ideas into slick, successful campaigns. He specializes in clean, sharp, and memorable designs that help build brand identities. Danny is constantly looking for new ways to do his work, new programs, new sites and new methodologies. Danny has built and managed brands from the ground up and has worn every hat on the rack. His experience includes all facets of print, web development, brand identity and management, project management, pre-press, and post-production.

At EGIA, Danny leads the design and development team that is responsible for producing all branding, web presences, and marketing collateral for EGIA, as well as its subsidiaries and partners. Additionally, Danny is responsible for identifying and leading the development of new innovative solutions needed to execute, optimize and continuously improve the internal processes for EGIA team members and the end-user experience for EGIA clients and partners. Prior to joining EGIA, Danny held creative leadership positions at several marketing agencies based in Northern California including Crocker & Crocker, RR Advertising and Ross Campbell. Danny graduated from Sacramento State University with a degree in Graphic Design.

David Delgado

Director, Business Development (Contractor University)

David Delgado is responsible for working with distributors to help them develop dealer development training programs with the EGIA Faculty. In addition, David also helps distributors by matching EGIA’s keynote speakers with the theme of their dealer meetings. Prior to joining the team at EGIA, David worked at LightSpeed VT and had to the opportunity to work with clients such as Tony Robbins, Grant Cardone, Daymond John, and numerous associations. David was responsible for helping his clients grow their training business through training and speaking at industry events, online/offline marketing, and sales training. Toviah Walton

Director, Events & Employee Engagement

Toviah Walton has over a decade of experience in event planning, employee engagement, and association management. Toviah is responsible for overseeing and executing events for all EGIA brands (Contractor University, HVAC Distributor University, OPTIMUS, EGIA Foundation) and partner-related events. These events range from board meetings, webinars, and workshops to larger-scale events such as EGIA’s annual marquee event, EPIC. In planning over 85 nationwide events a year, Toviah spends much of her time securing venues, handling event logistics and administration, working closely with Contractor University faculty, securing thought-provoking and celebrity speakers, and managing EGIA’s presence at tradeshows around the country. In addition to directing the events side of the company, Toviah is responsible for managing employee engagement within EGIA to build a winning culture. With EGIA employees spread throughout the country, she manages programs to enhance employee recognition, open communication, team building, and cross-department collaboration to foster a positive and inclusive work environment with the objective of making EGIA one of the premier companies to work for.

Prior to working at EGIA, Toviah held membership and event management roles at the California Restaurant Association. Toviah graduated from Arizona State University with a degree in Communications and a minor in Sociology.

Lucas Ehrbar

Director, Communications & Marketing Partnerships

As the Director of Communications & Marketing Partnerships, Lucas oversees EGIA’s marketing and member communications, as well as strategic partnerships with vendor partners.

Lucas and his team are responsible for the planning and execution of EGIA digital marketing strategy as well as communications that help raise awareness of the myriad EGIA membership benefits that help contractors build better businesses. He is also Director of Communications for the EGIA Foundation, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to building a stronger industry workforce, and he spearheads marketing strategy and execution for some of EGIA’s utility partner programs.

Prior to joining EGIA in 2016, Lucas was a principal and managing editor of a popular lifestyle website, and before that the director of North American operations for an online advertising company. He holds a Business Administration degree from the University of Oregon.

Robin Faust

Director, Member Services

As the Director of Member Services, Robin drives strategic initiatives and works with account managers to build their skill sets in supporting the Contractor University clients.

Robin has grown within her role since joining EGIA Contractor University in 2019, as an Account Manager, she worked with approximately 340 member accounts ensuring that they receive the full utilization of their benefits while delivering outstanding customer service and dramatically growing her membership base. Robin was promoted to Manager Member Services in 2021, playing a key role in the development of HVAC manufacturer relationships through joint projects with the EGIA Marketing Department and Contractor Services Division. As well as working with the Account Management team to create and implement processes to improve client satisfaction.

Robin has 17 years of HVAC Industry experience focused in the area of best practices support organizations such as Clockwork Home Services and the Pinnacle Corporation. Prior to her HVAC career she was Director of Member Support at MasterCard International. Robin also holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing from Webster University.

Donica Wilson

Director, Distributor & Contractor Engagement

As the Director of Distributor & Contractor Engagement Donica oversees all distributor-related and trade ally/ contractor programs. The contractor programs range from utility and state- run contractor programs such as Trade Ally Networks or Contractor Networks. The distributor programs consist of upstream/ midstream program management as well as distributor/ manufacture instant and finance rebate programs. Donica and her team are responsible for program development, implementation, end-to-end management, engagement, and processing.

Prior to EGIA, Donica trained women and men in the military as an Under Water Egress instructor. Donica graduated from Troy University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice and a minor in Psychology.

Clinton Cramer

Director, IT Program Management

Clinton oversees technical program management in the Information Technology Department and brings over 30 years of experience in Call Center Telecommunication systems, IT infrastructure and Customer Service. Throughout his unique career journey, he has achieved senior staff level engineering status in telecommunications working in the Gaming industry and worked his way up to senior management in mortgage servicing.

Avaya recognized Clinton early on in his career for his testing ability and system knowledge. The results of which became an invitation to test alongside the Lucent Technologies test team several Avaya Call Management systems at the Bell labs facility in New Jersey for Y2K. Later becoming a twice-certified Avaya Associate.

Recruited and relocated from the Midwest by Sony PlayStation, he managed and maintained all aspects of their advanced telecommunications and contact center technology integrations for well over a decade.

Additionally recognized and awarded for a myriad of large successful enterprise project completions, disaster recovery implementations and process improvements throughout his career. By continuing to strive for excellence through higher learning and certification renewals, Clinton received lifetime certification status Telecommunications Industries Association as a TIA Convergence Technologies Professional.

Eric Gude

Director, National Sales

Eric Started with EGIA as a Regional Director in Sept 2019. In his current position Eric manages the Contractor Services team that includes dealer and distributer training, dealer onboarding and customer service. Eric came to EGIA with over 25 years of Banking, business development and finance experience mostly at American General Finance/One Main where he held various positions of management.

Eric holds B.A. degrees in Economics and Political Science from The University of Maryland- Baltimore County, as well as a Masters of Business Leadership from William Penn University.
