Bruce Matulich joined the Electric & Gas Industries Association (EGIA) in 2003 as Chief Executive Officer and Executive Director, responsible for the Association’s overall operational management and strategic positioning. Bruce is also the CEO and Chairman of the Board of Trustees for the EGIA Foundation – a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to expanding the benefits the public receives from the home services industry through education, research and the development of the next generation of qualified workers. Under Bruce’s leadership, EGIA’s contractor organization has evolved into one of the largest and fastest-growing in the country. He’s been instrumental in transforming EGIA into a leading contractor education and training organization, all while representing the Association in key state and national industry forums and leading the design and implementation of EGIA’s utility and public sector programs.
Bruce is a seasoned executive with over 35 years of leadership experience in association management, utility operations and emerging technology marketing. He has served as: Executive Vice President at MainStreet Networks, an energy services company delivering automatic meter reading (AMR), online energy management & control and customized e-services to utilities energy services throughout North America; Chief Operating Officer for Energy Innovation Group, an energy services company delivering integrated energy efficiency solutions to local government and community based organizations; Marketing Director at CellNet Data Systems, a provider of wireless data communications, control and automation applications for the energy industry; and Director, Energy Efficiency Services at Pacific Gas & Electric, responsible for managing the utility residential, commercial and institutional energy efficiency and demand response programs.
Bruce holds degrees in Business Administration/Marketing and Industrial Technology from San Jose State University.
Joe Calabrese is EGIA’s Chief Financial Officer and is responsible for managing all of EGIA’s financial and accounting practices. Joe is responsible for preparing all final budgets and reports as well as directing EGIA’s financial strategy to ensure long-term organizational success and sustainability.
Eddie is EGIA’s CTO, and is responsible for the overall management of EGIAs Information Technology. Eddie has over 25 years of experience as a senior level information technology leader. He has led a number of major technology development programs for various fast paced Global Fortune 500 companies such as Oracle, Sony, and General Electric. Eddie has extensive experience creating Global Enterprise Applications, Oracle ERP, SAAS cloud based applications and building high availability systems. Prior to joining EGIA, Eddie held a Senior IT Management position at Sony PlayStation. Eddie is a graduate of the University of London (England) with a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical & Electronic Engineering and a Master of Science degree in Information Systems from the University of Brighton (England).
As the Vice President of Marketing & Member Services, Jeff spearheads the strategy and directs the execution of EGIA’s overall member experience, external communications and membership growth initiatives.
Jeff leads the team responsible for identifying, planning and implementing EGIA’s various member benefit offerings including Contractor University training programs, Contractor Marketplace product and service discounts, Snapshot Survey industry wide research reports and more. He oversees the EGIA marketing department, as well as the teams responsible for events, membership sales, membership partnerships and member account management. He is the point-person tasked with building and maintaining EGIA as the largest and most successful contractor membership group in North America.
Prior to joining EGIA in 2007, Jeff worked at Liquid Agency, one of Silicon Valley’s leading brand marketing agencies, where he managed high-level marketing and branding initiatives for clients such as Intel, Logitech, LSI, Adidas and Visa. Jeff graduated from the University of Oregon with a degree in Business Administration.
As Vice President of Contractor Services, Matthew is responsible for all lending and finance operations within the EGIA Finance Clearinghouse. He works directly with lending partners and affiliates developing and creating the most up-to-date finance offerings for EGIA’s vast contractor base. In addition, Matthew leads EGIA’s business development strategy, as well as the design and implementation of finance training content.
Matthew has been an integral part of the home improvement finance industry for over 20 years, with stops at American General Finance, Greensky and Renovate America. Matthew attended Virginia Commonwealth University, graduating with a degree in Psychology.
As Vice President, Utility & Government Services, Eric is instrumental in guiding the strategic direction, growth and profitability of EGIA’s business with utility and government clients located throughout North America. His focus is on building relationships with clients and partners to successfully deliver client’s energy and water savings goals through EGIA’s suite of technology and program solutions.
Prior to joining EGIA, Eric spent over 12 years in senior leadership positions at Franklin Energy where he was responsible for the design and implementation of Demand Side Management programs for utility clients. During this time Eric led teams to achieve aggressive energy efficiency and demand response savings goals by maximizing the resources of personnel, technology, process and incentives to exceed client expectations. Eric has partnered with clients to deliver successful programs serving residential, multi-family, small business, commercial and industrial customers.
Additionally, Eric has served in variety of business development and operations leadership roles for companies including Schneider Electric, ABB and Emerson where he worked with a variety of contractors and customers to deliver critical power and distributed generation services. Eric graduated from Franklin University with a degree in Business Management and Marketing.
As General Manager of Member Services, Jeff leads EGIA’s internal membership sales and account management functions, ensuring that every contractor has a truly world-class experience when being a member of – or interacting with – EGIA. Additionally, Jeff plays a key role in cultivating, developing and maintaining strategic partner relationships with the HVAC industry’s preeminent equipment manufacturers, distributors and suppliers for EGIA.
Prior to joining EGIA, Jeff spent nearly 3 decades working in virtually every facet of the HVAC industry. He has held management positions at Lennox, York, and Goodman, as well as senior management positions at two successful residential HVAC businesses. Along with that experience, Jeff also owned and operated Innovative Profit Solutions, an organization dedicated to helping distributors and contracting businesses reach their maximum potential through coaching and consulting services.
Jeff graduated from Murray State University with a degree in Business Management and went on to receive an MBA in Strategic Management from the University of Miami.
Darrel Yashinsky is an experienced professional, with specific expertise mentoring, coaching and advising HVAC, Plumbing and Electrical trade contractors. His experience is unique and varied, from a hands-on technician working on extremely varied mechanical systems to reading and dissecting a company’s financial statement identifying areas of concern for a business owner. His knowledge experience and skills are exceptional and rare. He has the unique ability to connect with technicians, call takers, sales people and owners on a personal level as he has walked many miles in their shoes.
Darrel has a passion for helping contractors grow, succeed and meet their personal objectives.
Darrel is a licensed 313A Refrigeration Mechanic, holds a Master Heating License, G1 gas fitter as well as oil burner certificate of qualification both are the highest level of achievement in the heating and cooling industry.
Danny is an award-winning Creative Director with a proven track record for translating complex ideas into slick, successful campaigns. He specializes in clean, sharp, and memorable designs that help build brand identities. Danny is constantly looking for new ways to do his work, new programs, new sites and new methodologies. Danny has built and managed brands from the ground up and has worn every hat on the rack. His experience includes all facets of print, web development, brand identity and management, project management, pre-press, and post-production.
At EGIA, Danny leads the design and development team that is responsible for producing all branding, web presences, and marketing collateral for EGIA, as well as its subsidiaries and partners. Prior to joining EGIA, Danny held creative leadership positions at several marketing agencies based in Northern California including Crocker & Crocker, RR Advertising and Ross Campbell. Danny graduated from Sacramento State University with a degree in Graphic Design.
Toviah Walton has over a decade of experience in event planning and association management. As the Director of Events, Toviah is responsible for overseeing and executing all EGIA and partner related events. These events range from webinars and workshops to larger scale events such as EGIA’s annual marquee events, EPIC and LEAD. In planning over 85 nationwide events a year, Toviah spends much of her time securing venues, handling event logistics and administration, working closely with EGIA Contractor University faculty and securing thought provoking and celebrity speakers for EGIA.
Prior to working at EGIA, Toviah held membership and event management roles at the California Restaurant Association. Toviah graduated from Arizona State University with a degree in Communications and a minor in Sociology.
As the Director of Communications & Marketing Partnerships, Lucas oversees EGIA’s marketing and member communications, as well as strategic partnerships with vendor partners.
Lucas and his team are responsible for the planning and execution of EGIA digital marketing strategy as well as communications that help raise awareness of the myriad EGIA membership benefits that help contractors build better businesses. He is also Director of Communications for the EGIA Foundation, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to building a stronger industry workforce, and he spearheads marketing strategy and execution for some of EGIA’s utility partner programs.
Prior to joining EGIA in 2016, Lucas was a principal and managing editor of a popular lifestyle website, and before that the director of North American operations for an online advertising company. He holds a Business Administration degree from the University of Oregon.
David Delgado is responsible for working with distributors to help them develop dealer development training programs with the EGIA Faculty. In addition, David also helps distributors by matching EGIA’s keynote speakers with the theme of their dealer meetings. Prior to joining the team at EGIA, David worked at LightSpeed VT and had to the opportunity to work with clients such as Tony Robbins, Grant Cardone, Daymond John, and numerous associations. David was responsible for helping his clients grow their training business through training and speaking at industry events, online/offline marketing, and sales training.
