Of course every company pays their employees when they’re at work. But offering paid time-off (PTO) is also a common benefit, depending on company size and role, and can have an impact on recruiting, retention and many other components of the business. In this month’s Snapshot Survey, we’re asking all about your company’s approach to PTO to learn how the industry is utilizing it and how it’s impacting bottom lines.

Take this month's survey on Paid Time-Off and be entered for a chance to win a $100 Visa or MasterCard gift card.

In December 2014, we surveyed contractors on service area. Below is the result from one of the questions we asked:

In general, what is the approximate radius of your service area (from your company's office)?

The larger the service area, the larger the pool of customers is for a business. However, in most cases there is a limit to how far companies can be stretched. With that in mind, we wanted to know what the approximate service radius, in miles, is for the contractors in our network. Leading the way with 38% of the responses was “51-100 miles,” while overall 93% of the contractors we surveyed indicated that the radius of their service area does not exceed 100 miles.
