Overcoming “I Want to Think About It”

Everyone's experienced it before. After delivering a knock-your-socks-off sales presentation, and readying to close the sale, you hear those dreaded words: "I want to think about it." Heartbreak.

This week, Weldon Long explains not just how to overcome that statement, but how to prevent it entirely.

That and more in the latest episode of Cracking the Code!

Back in March 2013, we surveyed contractors on Customer Collections. Below is the result from one of the questions we asked:

Do any of your previous customers currently owe you money (i.e. past due payments)?

Of the contractors we surveyed in March of 2013, 74% said that they currently have customers with past due payments. As a follow-up question, we asked those same contractors how much their previous customers owed them in total. On average that number was $32,000.

In March’s Snapshot Survey, we’re asking all about the topic to get an idea of how companies use direct mail marketing as part of their overall strategy.

Take this month's survey, on the Direct Mail Marketing, and be entered for a chance to win a $100 Visa or Mastercard Gift Card.
